Rev. Dexter Udell Nutall

Reverend Dexter Udell Nutall, a native of Washington, D.C., has always been a part of the New Bethel Baptist Church (NBBC) family. As a young child he sat in the pews at NBBC with his family learning and growing in Christ. At a young age he recognized God's plan for his life and preached his first sermon at New Bethel Baptist Church in 2000.

In March 2009, the congregation of NBBC welcomed Reverend Nutall as its fourth pastor. Under his leadership, NBBC has experienced a tremendous amount of growth in the church and in the community.

Pastor Nutall earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Mt. St. Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, MD, and a Juris Doctor from Howard University’s School of Law.  Prior to leading NBBC full-time, Pastor Nutall, worked for several prominent law firms, the Supreme Court of Virginia, the United States Senate and former DC Mayor Vincent Gray.

Reverend Nutall is married to the former Ms. Tracy Brinkley and they have two wonderful daughters, Chandler Renée and Jaida McKenzie.

When asked, "How do you stay Rooted in Christ?" He responded in saying, "By staying focused on nurturing an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ through study and fellowship."

When asked, "How do you plan to continue to Grow in the Community?" He replied in saying, "By making worship a lifestyle and being intentional about the relationships we develop both inside and outside of the church. In doing so, our community expands, and we experience the kingdom of God."
