Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)
Why is church membership important?
- As you continue to grow in your relationship with GOD sharing and growing in a church community allows you to pour into others and have others who are growing in their relationship with GOD pour into you.
- Your story becomes even more powerful when you are joined with the stories of other believes who have a relationship with GOD.
- Your church community can help you see GOD more clearly, walk with GOD more closely and love GOD more passionately as we see the work of GOD in our own lives and lives of others.
Ways to Join:
Step 1: Express your interest
At the end of worship service respond to the invitation to meet with a leader who will explain Christian salvation, pray with you and discuss membership at New Bethel Baptist Church. You can also call the church office or reach out to staff to express your interest in joining the New Bethel family.
Step 2: Attend Connections Class
Connections Classes are offered the third Saturday of every month. Connections is an opportunity for you to learn about what we believe, ministry opportunities and to meet new members, the Pastor and other church leaders.
Step 3: Get Baptized
We celebrate those you are new to Christianity with water baptism. As Jesus Christ was baptized by full immersion we encourage new believers to make a statement to the world of identification with Christ by doing the same. It is a time to celebrate what GOD has done and will do through you.
Step 4: Accept the Right Hand of Fellowship (RHOF)
The right hand of fellowship is a ritual symbolizing the inheritance of new members of all the benefits of membership at New Bethel Baptist Church. More importantly it symbolizes GOD making available His power and anointing, which He offers to all HIs sons and daughters. RHOF takes place every First Sunday during the 10:30 a.m. service.
As a new member there are several opportunities for you to engage with the fellowship to continue to grow in the community. Please click below to see a list of available ministries waiting for your time and talents.
